On this page you can read and hear more about me as a soloist and an ensemble member.

Soloist

Solistically I have mostly worked as an oratorio and Lied- singer.
I also love to sing at e.g. weddings and funerals.
I have been told that my voice is able to touch people, that it can enhance happiness or comfort grief.

My repertoire ranges from classical songs to jazz, chanson and some pop songs.

In church I usually sing with organ accompaniment but also a cappella, elsewhere with piano or guitar accompaniment.

WintherThistle

Kirsten and guitarist Thomas Winthereik began their collaboration in 2004. Since then, they have built a repertoire that spans from Danish medieval music over folk songs to British songs of the 20th century.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Thomas has played numerous concerts in Denmark and abroad and has performed live on Swedish radio and Danish television.
Thomas Winthereik also plays luth in the professional medieval ensemble Fala Musica and is a member of Trio Campanella, which is currently considered to be one of the most prominent guitar ensembles in Scandinavia, and whose complete recording of Iberia was released internationally by NAXOS.

fiori del barocco

fiori del barocco consists of Eckart Begemann and me who have built a repertoire that spans from Schütz to Schubert. In order to expand the repertoire further, we have extended the group with the gambist Lennart Spies and have invited the baroque trombonist Rolf Sandmark and traverse flutist Marika Oyama for selected concerts.

Eckart Begemann has studied cembalo and music theory at the Musikhochschule in Hamburg. He works as organist and cembalist in the Hamburger Barockorchester.

Gambist Lennart Spies studied with Hille Perl at Hochschule für Künste Bremen and has been a highly requested chamber musician in Renaissance and Baroque music circles since.

Marika Oyama studied traverse flute at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen, as well as the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.

Rolf Sandmark is trombonist in the Aarhus Symfoniorkester. In fiori del barocco he plays the baroque-trombone.
